Dining from dawn ’til dusk

From bubbly brunches to late night feasts, dine from dawn ’til dusk at your favourite Princesshay restaurants and cafés with our top picks…

8am: Get your coffee fix

Enjoy a freshly brewed hot coffee and buttery ham and cheddar croissant at Starbucks to set you up for your day. Grab it to go if you’re in a hurry, or, if you have time to take a seat, relax at Coffee #1 and enjoy a hearty sausage bap while you read the paper and catch up on the news. Balance the carbs by starting the morning with one of your five-a-day – we love Coffee #1’s refreshing, freshly squeezed juices.

11am: Brunch and bubbles

There’s no better way to indulge than with brunch. When else is it acceptable to have a Bloody Mary before 12pm? At Café Rouge, indulge in the buttermilk pancakes topped with banana, walnut praline and salted caramel sauce. For an authentic flavour of France, order the classic Croque Saumon and wash it down with a Rouge Mimosa breakfast cocktail. At Carluccio’s, you’ll be tempted by the delicious, Instagram-worthy Breakfast Magnifica. It’s the full works. A bellini is also available to order, which is just the tipple.

1pm: Should you stay or should you go?

Whether you’re on your lunch break or you’re on a shopping mission without time to stop, grab your lunch on-the-go by popping into Chandos Deli. With artisan baguette sandwiches and quaint cakes to pick up, it’s the perfect pit stop. If you have a bit more time, eat al fresco at Byron. The C-Rex burger is mouth-wateringly good and won’t leave you hungry. Try the courgette fries on the side and wash it all down with an Oreo freakshake.

4pm: Teatime treats

Whether you’re catching up with friends, or enjoying a mum and daughter shopping session, take a little time to savour afternoon tea. After all, shopping can be hard work. Top fluffy scones with jam and cream in Costa or try the delicious muffins everyone adores. If the weather is nice, tempt yourself with the delicious pastries at LTG’s in Catherine Square. It’s perfect for people watching!

7pm: Feast your eyes on dinner

Whether it’s a tasty Sunset Burger at Nando’s or a classic Katsu Curry in Wagamama, take a trip around the world with an array of international cuisines at Princesshay. We love Giraffe World Kitchen for its international menu. Where else can you have Spanish tapas for starters, Turkish pide for main and a British Eton mess sundae for dessert? The kid’s menu also has plenty to choose from that little ones will love – they’re sure to want the churros for dessert, covered in cinnamon sugar and with a chocolate sauce for dunking!

9pm: Late night eats and drinks

If you’ve been to the cinema or you’re just heading out for the night, stop off at Coal Grill and Bar to sample the cocktail menu. You can enjoy 2 for 1 cocktails all day, every day. Sometimes there’s live music on too, so make sure you check out Coal on social media to keep up-to-date. If you’re after a late night nibble, head to YO! Sushi for some Japanese street food. The dynamite rolls and furikake fries are worth a try. The lively buzz around the belt makes it the perfect place to end your day – or start your night! They’re open until 10pm.
