Tempting autumn menus at Princesshay

Five Cheese Fondue, anyone? Our rundown of the tastiest seasonal additions at our restaurants and cafés


Autumn at Carluccio’s is inspired by legendary founder Antonio and his favourite pastime, foraging for fungi. This year’s mushroom specialities include Mushroom Fonduta – mixed mushrooms in rich Taleggio sauce with white truffle oil – and Porcini & Portobello Risotto, an indulgent risotto featuring two-much loved mushrooms alongside cavolo nero and a rich truffle butter. 

Café Rouge

Indulge your love for cheese with Café Rouge’s new Five Cheese Fondue and French Onion Croque. Other new highlights for autumn include Baby Carrot & Shallot Tatin, Potted Devon Crab, and a rich, warming Beef Bourguignon Burger. Comfort, warmth and flavour are all to the fore on the pudding menu, whose standouts include a Brioche Bread & Butter Pudding and a silky Cherry Tatin.


Strong, punchy flavours are the heart of Giraffe’s new autumn lunch menu (starter and main for only £6.95). Choices include a Sweet Chilli Chicken & Halloumi Burger – chicken breast cooked in a sweet chilli sauce topped with halloumi, spring onion, chilli & coriander, while the veggie options pack in the flavour too – take the Beetball Tortilla Bowl, with its seasoned beetroot & quinoa beetballs with jasmine rice, spinach, rocket, salsa and za’atar spice coconut yoghurt.


Meet the Bulleit Bourbon Smokey from Byron’s brand new autumn menu: Kentucky-inspired with a tantalising bourbon depth, this is a BBQ burger with real bite. Think creamy ranch sauce, crunchy coleslaw & spicy deep-fried jalapeños. Be warned: things will get messy!


Joining Wagamama’s flavour-packed menu for autumn is this zingy, citrussy Nikko Curry. A fragrant coconut, lemongrass and turmeric soup with roasted butternut squash, turmeric cauliflower and tenderstem broccoli, the Nikko also features mangetout, bok choi and beansprouts, with a garnish of chilli, coriander, fresh ginger, lime and chilli oil. Served with a side of white rice with sesame seeds, you can choose from chicken, yasai (tofu) and sea bream options.
